Grant to participate in ХІІ Forum of Neuroscience: FENS Forum 2020
The NEUROTWIN grant program announces a competition for the best publication for 2017-2020 in the field of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience. The winner of the competition will receive a grant to participate in ХІІ Forum of Neuroscience - FENS Forum 2020, to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 11-15, 2020. This competition is for students, graduate students and young scientists (no more than 10 years after the thesis defence) from Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the NAS of Ukraine. It is required to submit to the competition ONE article published in a journal that is referenced in PubMed or Scopus and has an impact factor higher than one (1). The Council of Young Scientists (CYS) of the Institute will select 3 finalists among the participants; each finalist will give a short report about his/her work (10-15 minutes) at a seminar of the Neuroscience sector with the participation of members of the Knowledge Transfer Committee and the Editorial Board of the NEUROTWIN project, which will make the final decision on the winner of the competition. A Head of the Council is Dmytro Rusakov (University College of London, UK), and Members of the Council are Borys Safronov (Institute of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, Portugal), Georgii Bakalkin (Uppsala University, Sweden), Pavel Belan (Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the NAS of Ukraine), Yaroslav Shuba (Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the NAS of Ukraine). After the participation in the FENS Forum, the winner should give a short talk about the FENS Forum 2020 at a seminar of the Institute or sector.
The grant will be funded as a business trip paid by the Institute at the expense of NEUROTWIN.
Applications (your short CV and PDF file of your publication) for participation in the competition can be submitted to the Council of Young Scientists (CYS) of the Institute.
- CYS accepts applications for participation in the competition until March 11, 2020. - CYS makes a decision on the finalists of the competition until March 24, 2020. - Speech of the finalists until April 10, 2020. - The Editorial Board of the NEUROTWIN project announces the winner on April 20, 2020.
Young scientists will be able to participate in the competition for the best publication in the field of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience also in years 2021 and 2022. The winners will get the opportunity to participate in European conferences in the field of Neuroscience of their choice at the expense of NEUROTWIN grant program.
